Why Broccoli Really is a Superfood – Sophie Haydock

Sophie Haydock, Sunday Times Food Writer and supporter of VSO, explains how this British school dinner staple is becoming a foodie sensation in Bangladesh.

Indian chef Anjula Devi’s dad was her inspiration.  He grew up on a farm in Kenya and the first time he saw broccoli was when he arrived in the UK.  He was so intrigued with this vegetable that it was one of the first dishes he created, along with runner beans grown in their back garden.  Click here for the recipe and to see a video of Anjula making it.
